Role Description:

We’re seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our Birmingham team. This is a full time role blending office and onsite work, focusing on residential construction projects.

You will assist in cost planning, management, and reporting; perform cost control; and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQ). Your role is essential in ensuring that the financial aspects of our projects are handled effectively and remain within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with cost planning and forecasting for residential projects
• Manage and control project costs and variations
• Prepare, update, and manage Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
• Report on financial progress and highlight risks or opportunities
• Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and suppliers

Qualifications & Skills:

• Experience in cost control and cost management within construction
• Proficient in preparing and managing Bills of Quantities (BOQ)
• Strong skills in cost planning and cost reporting
• Excellent analytical and numerical abilities
• Clear and effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or related field
• Previous residential / Dwellings construction experience is must
