Our client, a respected and growing firm of accountants with offices across Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire, is looking for an Audit & Accounts Senior / Semi Senior to join their dynamic team.

The Role

You will be responsible for leading audit and accounts assignments for a wide range of clients, from SMEs to larger, more complex businesses. The role will be approximately 70% audit and 30% accounts, offering excellent variety and exposure. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading audits from planning through to completion, liaising with clients and managing junior staff on site.

  • Preparing statutory accounts for limited companies and other entities.

  • Ensuring assignments are delivered on time and within budget.

  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, providing clear communication and building strong relationships.

  • Reviewing work prepared by junior team members and supporting their development.

  • Working closely with managers and partners on a range of client assignments.

About You

The ideal candidate will be:

  • ACA / ACCA qualified, part-qualified, or qualified by experience.

  • Experienced in leading audit assignments within an accountancy practice.

  • Skilled in accounts preparation for SMEs and owner-managed businesses.

  • Confident working directly with clients and able to manage assignments independently.

  • Proficient in audit and accounting software, with strong Excel skills.

  • A proactive team player with excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
