Azure Solution Architect

The Azure Platform Practice is at the core of Avanade's excellence: delivering high-quality, complex projects with global impact. We focus on building and running reliable and secure cloud foundations—from large-scale landing zones to data and application platforms—to make our clients' cloud journey smooth, whether moving existing systems, enabling cloud-native solutions, or improving an existing cloud presence.

What you'll do

• Act as a solution architect to construct large-scale, complex solutions for clients (solution shaping, estimating, ensuring overall solution and contractual obligations are deliverable)
• Fulfill sales origination activities in early phases of the sales process in conjunction with our sales function
• Engage with clients to explore service needs and pre-qualify sales opportunities
• Contribute to the development of our Go-to-Market and offerings
• Coach, mentor and motivate team members to influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work

Leading the solutioning process

• Interpret client-defined or implied requirements against Avanade solution templates and delivery capabilities and define a solution aligned to these
• Contribute to deal competitor analysis and development of win strategies
• Create and document the solution details in a solution plan, engaging and consulting internal stakeholders as required
• Forecast the required staffing and identify all expenses to ensure an accurate estimation of delivery costs over the contract term
• Review and obtain sign-off from regional, area or global Avanade leadership in respect to your solution and its scope, approach, costs, commercials, and risks
• Draft and present the proposal to the client, taking ownership of solution elements

Skills and experiences

• You are technically minded and can solve complex technical challenges in Azure
• You can provide experienced leadership and technical direction influencing the successful delivery of client projects
• You have the ability to establish, maintain and manage strong working relationships with colleagues, partners, suppliers, and senior client personnel
• You have great communication and interpersonal skills — you've worked directly with clients, alongside a team of consultants, or within a client team and can communicate hard concepts so everyone understands
• You can build consensus and buy-in amongst key internal stakeholders to balance client value and affordability with differentiation, profitability, and acceptable risk profile

Your Technical experience

• You have deep knowledge of Azure cloud services to create resilient, scalable and secure cloud environments covering the full breadth of the Azure platform
• You are able to design and implement Azure Landing Zones to establish a scalable, secure and compliant foundation for deploying cloud services
• You have worked on complex migrations for on-premises infrastructure, applications, and databases to Azure, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
• You've developed solutions for Edge and Hybrid scenarios by integrating Azure Stack and other technologies to extend Azure capabilities to on-premises environments and edge devices
• You can architect and deploy Cloud Native solutions using Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Azure Functions, and Azure DevOps
