Overview

We now have an exciting opportunity for a European Business Development Manager to join a privately owned European road freight and Irish distribution company with a solid reputation within the sector, providing competitively priced, time-sensitive distribution packages and associated services to blue-chip companies. The role is to work within an established sales team, with telesales support, selling and promoting mainland European road freight services. You will have access to an established Irish customer base and the company’s track and trace system. The role will be predominantly new business, with an element of account management. We are looking for someone to develop a full European freight service, with a good knowledge of customs requirements and processes from collection to delivery.

Responsibilities

• Sell and promote mainland European road freight services within an established sales team with telesales support.
• Develop a full European freight service with a focus on new business while also handling some account management.
• Utilize the established Irish customer base and the company’s track and trace system.
• Source your own leads and drive new business with strong customer service and account management skills.
• Ensure understanding of customs requirements and processes from collection to delivery.

Qualifications

• Proven sales track record with at least 2 years' experience in the European freight forwarding sales field.
• Good knowledge of customs requirements and processes from collection to delivery.
• Ability to source leads and develop new business with a focus on customer service and account management.

Package and Benefits

• Salary: 28,000-40,000 depending on individual.
