Overview

Bid Manager role at Theatre Projects, London office with flexibility to work from home up to 3 days per week. Lead the preparation and submission of bids for architectural design projects in the UK and internationally.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation and submission of PQQs, proposals and bids for building design projects, studies and competitions
  • Collaborate with directors, project leads and other team members to develop detailed and competitive proposals
  • Coordinate with architects and external practices on joint bids
  • Identify opportunities by monitoring tender portals and OJEU notices and present relevant opportunities to management
  • Research and gather information about clients and projects
  • Ensure all required information and documents are included in submissions
  • Coordinate with team members to ensure bids are completed on time and meet client needs
  • Present information clearly using words, numbers and images
  • Work both collaboratively and independently when needed
  • Demonstrate strong attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Generate, revise and maintain standard documents and policies

Qualifications

  • Five years or more experience in preparing bids in architectural or construction contexts
  • Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel) and Adobe InDesign
  • Experience with resource planning and fee setting for bids
  • Ability to track resource outlay on current projects to inform future fee proposals
  • Excellent copywriting, editing and proofreading skills
  • Ability to work on your own initiative and within teams
  • Good organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure
  • Fluency in written and spoken English
  • Proof of the legal right to work in the UK

Desirable

  • Proficiency in other languages
  • Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite
  • A degree in architecture, journalism or a related field

Employment details

This is a full-time, permanent position for 35 hours a week, based in our London Office. The company offers flexible working based on project demands, with remote working 2-3 days per week.

Salary

£35,000 - £45,000 dependent on experience.
