Responsibilities

You will carry out various types of building surveys and undertake project work for a wide range of clients, including preparing planning and building regulations applications, preparing tender documents and contract administration using NEC3 and other contracts. Our client base includes major investors, funders, developers, asset operators, national government agencies, local authorities and healthcare trusts.
What You Will Be Doing
Working for one of the world’s largest consultancies, you will have opportunities to contribute to projects with positive community impact (e.g., Education and Healthcare sectors) and to work on projects internationally.
Role can be based at London or Birmingham offices and offers travel opportunities. The team provides advice across a wide range of sectors and services, including Condition/Defect Surveys, Asset capture, IC/Construction monitoring, Fire Risk Assessments, Compliance and operational audits, Party Wall, Design and specification, Contract Admin, NEC Supervisor, CDM and Clerk of Works roles.
Team & Qualifications
- We are recruiting a Building Surveyor either working towards MRICS or newly MRICS-qualified.
- Based in London or Birmingham with travel opportunities.
- We support MRICS qualifications and help identify/secure the experience needed for a successful application.
- Current projects include new build and refurbishment of hospitals, schools, FE facilities, residential and commercial properties.
What We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate
- Newly Chartered Building Surveyor or working towards MRICS qualification with demonstrable post-graduation experience.
- Motivation to align with WSP values and client objectives.
- Ability to self-perform to maximize contribution and ensure high-quality, timely delivery.
- Commitment to achieving team and business unit objectives.
- Understanding of the financial impact of your work.
