Overview The Company: A multi award winning Construction Consultancy, comprised of professional Chartered Surveyors and Construction Consultants, working collaboratively within the residential, commercial, education and leisure sectors! The office has excellent public transport links within minutes of the Elizabeth line, Crossrail, DLR, Mainline Rail Services & Thames Clipper. Flexible working is offered with typically two days per week office commitments required. The Role They are excited to announce this latest requirement for a Building Surveyor to come in & assist the more experienced colleagues on a full range of work! You will be able to advise clients about project issues, which can include technical, financial, legal, environmental/sustainability and building regulation matters. Key Responsibilities
Assist in establishing a client\'s requirements and undertake feasibility studies Undertaking a variety of surveys and inspections Preparing and producing specifications for works, tender and contract documents Coordinating members of the design team and project stakeholders Acting as Employer\'s Agent and Contract Administrator Site visits, assessments and projections for future work Writing reports and preparing documents (plans, contracts, budgets etc.) Analyse site activities; prepare progress reports on time, quality and cost of projects Advising on and acting in accordance with the Party Wall Etc Act, as an appointed surveyor Advising on and acting in accordance with CDM Regulations and in the capacity of Principal Designer
Job Location: South East London (Greenwich) Head Count: 80+ Current Projects: Residential, Commercial, Education & Leisure Requirements for the Building Surveyor
Degree qualified - within a construction related discipline MRICS qualified (strongly desirable) Excellent time management Understanding of the needs and demands of clients and will to exceed their expectations Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - both written and verbal Able to prioritise workload, planning ahead as required Able to work individually or in a team Strong IT skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook
