Location: Bradford/ Hybrid Working (a mix of office and home working)

Work type: Permanent, full time 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday between 8:00am-6:00pm.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Business Change Lead to join the Business Change Team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers, by playing a vital role in transforming our organisation.

We provide essential water and wastewater services to every corner of the Yorkshire region, helping communities, protecting the environment, and supporting health, wellbeing and prosperity. New environmental legislation, investment, and changing customer expectations create an exciting time to discover opportunities within the water industry. The Business Change team helps modernise the organisation to meet evolving customer and regulator needs.

Where you fit in:

As Business Change Lead you will deliver a wide variety of people-centric business change to align people, processes and technology using proven change methodologies. This includes large-scale change initiatives, operating model changes, colleague engagement and technology transformation. You will work with Senior Business Change Managers and key stakeholders to guide and enable successful, sustainable change that improves customer and colleague experience and supports performance commitments and efficiency.

As a Business Change Lead you will:

  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to complete detailed business impact assessments and support the development of business change plans, acting as a bridge between programme management, business operations and IT.
  • Lead impact assessments, business change planning and readiness activities for programme/project deliveries into your defined areas.
  • Define activities to guide colleagues through the change journey using methodologies such as ADKAR.
  • Lead small change/improvement projects to enhance ways of working for customers, colleagues and the business and improve overall change maturity.
  • Own and deliver communications and engagement strategies/sh plans to ready the business for change and ensure engaging change stories.
  • Build and maintain strong stakeholder relationships and stay knowledgeable in the assigned areas.
  • Manage stakeholders and communications at all levels.

What skills and qualifications you will need:

  • Significant experience of managing people-centric transformational change in large organisations.
  • Experience delivering and embedding change that influences culture and behaviors in complex environments.
  • Experience in business change management practices.
  • Strong stakeholder management and excellent communication skills across all levels, including senior leaders and directors.
  • Ability to influence at all levels to achieve win-win outcomes.
  • Strong leadership skills to lead direct and matrix teams.
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving and process-management skills.
  • Good commercial acumen, able to develop and manage complex business cases.
  • Ability to absorb and translate operational/technical information to different audiences.
  • Team player with initiative.
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.
  • Good IT skills including MS Office.
  • Strong customer experience ethos.

Flexible working: We embrace a hybrid model; typically circa 3 days in the office per week. This may be higher for collaborative work, training or deadlines. On-site option available Monday-Friday during working hours.
