Hybrid role: 3 days in the office (City of London location) and 2 days working from home.

Role Purpose

We are looking to hire a dynamic business development associate to assist the Structured Property Finance ("SPF) sales team with deal origination/execution, client management, the credit approval process and in time to also originate their own new business.

Responsibilities

  • To support SPF Sales team in originating new business opportunities in line with the banks credit policies and risk appetite, and to contribute towards achieving the team’s agreed origination targets.
  • Understand the bank’s credit policy, lending appetite, pricing frameworks.
  • Analyse opportunities, critically evaluate, prepare and submit applications for new proposals to Credit Committee, ensuring appropriate commentary and analysis to aid decision.
  • Proactively manage SPF transactions from Credit Approval through to completion supported by the Relationship Management team.
  • Post-drawdown/in-life - work with the Relationship Management team to effectively manage and develop the relationship from both a credit stewardship and customer support perspective.
  • Maintain delivery of a high quality service to customers as required.

Skills and Experience sought

  • Proven 3-5 year track record with a bank or non bank lender operating in the UK property markets providing investment financing solutions.
  • Whilst not essential it would be helpful if the candidate also has experience in complex short-term lending/bridging secured on UK commercial property.
