Business Development Manager- Automotive markets
Auto Windscreens is a leading UK Automotive Glazing company established in 1971, based in Chesterfield, Derbyshire and is part of the Markerstudy Insurance Group, one of the UK’s largest Insurance companies.
Due to growth plans we currently have an exciting opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join our successful sales team and support our 5 year growth plan.
Reporting into the Head of Sales the role will be fundamental in developing the company’s fleet market position and extending the wide portfolio of clients that we service. As such, you will need to have an excellent business acumen and a professional approach. The position requires demonstrable experience in both account management and new business sales.
Responsibilities
- Source new business leads through a variety of channels and actively seek to build a new business pipeline
- Negotiate new partner contracts and manage the negotiation process both internally and externally
- Agree service delivery requirements and ensure the effective delivery of Auto Windscreens’ service in accordance with agreed standards.
- Identify and establish relationships with key influencers and decision makers within the FN50 and fleet markets.
- Proactively manage a small number of established accounts, monitor performance and trends to deliver year on year customer satisfaction through regular client account reviews.
- Manage a successful communication flow between our network and business areas to exceed customer satisfaction
- Use professional social media effectively to seek out new opportunities and promote Auto Windscreens’ activities.
- Preferable experience in the automotive service sector
- Demonstrable track record in Business Development with experience in client acquisition and growth
- Knowledge of strategic account management principles and consultative selling approach
- Experience of managing multiple layer contacts within a single organisation
- Ability to build/orchestrate/influence excellent working relationships up to senior management level internally and externally
- Stable career history in a sales environment
