New Today

Dishoom, Whitechapel, England, United Kingdom

Overview

We’re on the lookout for someone bright, curious, and big-hearted to join our growing Data & Insights team at Dishoom. This is a role where you’ll dive into data and help uncover the stories behind the numbers, supporting our cafés, kitchens, and Babu House (head office) with insights that make a real difference. From guest experiences to marketing campaigns, from kitchen operations to people planning, you’ll help us make smarter, faster decisions that keep Dishoom thriving.

The Role

You’ll report to our Head of Data & Insights and work closely with teams across Finance, Operations, Marketing, and People. You’ll not only build dashboards but also lead projects, spot trends before they happen, and turn data into meaningful stories that everyone can act on.

We’re exploring a move away from Power BI, so if you’ve got experience with BI migrations, that’s a big plus. We’re getting to grips with Klaviyo too, so any experience in CRM reporting or customer insight is a huge plus.

What You’ll Do

  • Partner with teams across the business, translating data needs into valuable projects.
  • Build a best-in-class customer insights dashboard to power CRM and marketing activities.
  • Develop and maintain intuitive, engaging dashboards (Power BI and beyond).
  • Spot trends and opportunities before they happen, keeping us ahead in a competitive market.
  • Streamline and enhance reporting processes for greater efficiency and quality.
  • Work with diverse data sources, databases, and cloud systems to provide the right insights at the right time.

About you

  • A commercially minded analyst who understands how utilizing data drives success.
  • An organised self-starter, confident managing projects and juggling multiple priorities.
  • A keen eye for trends and patterns, with the initiative to act on them.
  • Strong numerical skills, including advanced Excel (VBA).
  • Proficiency in SQL and DAX, plus experience programming in Python or R.
  • Hands-on experience with Power BI (or similar tools like Tableau, Looker).
  • Experience with CRM databases and supporting marketing with customer insights.

Bonus Points For

  • Predictive modelling, machine learning, or advanced statistical analysis.
  • Experience with Google Cloud and BigQuery.
  • Code-based app development.
  • Database / BI system administration and migration.
  • A technical degree (Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, or similar).
  • A love of food and restaurants – especially Indian food!

Benefits

  • 25 days of holiday, plus bank holidays, and a couple of extra days to join us for team celebrations like our Family Mela or Christmas Party.
  • Hybrid working: 2–3 days per week at Babu House, Shoreditch.
  • A Dishoom Black card for monthly perks with your loved ones in our cafés.
  • Access to a wide network of discounts for everything from flights to groceries.
  • Subsidised gym & yoga memberships to keep you feeling your best.
  • Ongoing support to continue developing your career with us.
  • Plus, a team of ambitious, supportive, and lovely people to work alongside.

Salary: We value finding the right person who can grow with us, even if not every box is ticked. If this role has your name on it (or almost), go ahead and apply.

At Dishoom, everyone is welcome. We are committed to an inclusive and diverse workplace and strongly encourage people from all backgrounds, identities and experiences to apply for roles with us.
