Our clients span sectors including property investment, natural resources and renewable energy, media and entertainment, technology, FCA-registered firms, charities and large funds with up to £4bn in assets. Our Business Services Team
Our Business Services Team consists of around 25 staff, from Trainee to Partner. As a member of the team, you report to Managers, Associate Directors and Partners depending on the assignment. We work with a diverse client base including SMEs, corporate entities, OMBs and funds. You will be an integral part of the clients’ teams as a trusted adviser and first point of contact. Core services include year-end accounts, VAT, cash flow and management accounts, with additional advisory on projections to support growth. Our sectors include property, professional services, entertainment and hospitality, leisure, PR, IT and technology.
Start-up companies form an important and growing part of our client base. We assist entrepreneurial businesses with initial setup, ongoing financial planning and helping them secure finance and investors.
Job Description
- You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of clients and reviewing management accounts, VAT returns, statutory accounts and a range of ad hoc reporting across various industry sectors.
- You will act as client manager responsible for budgeting, WIP and billing.
- You will review often complex and bespoke management accounts.
- You will supervise and review staff output and provide guidance to junior members of the team.
- You will have ongoing interaction with the team and business services partners, including those from other LF business units.
- You will receive training, feedback and development from an exceptional team of practitioners as well as international advisory exposure to clients.
- You will attend networking events and work on new client proposals and prospects.
Requirements
- The ACA/ACCA (or equivalent) qualification.
- The ability to provide clear, accurate and commercial advice to clients.
- The ability to build strong client knowledge and act as an extension to the client.
- At least three years’ post-qualification experience gained within a medium-sized practice.
- The ability to interpret client information and challenge the client appropriately.
- The ability to liaise and coordinate effectively with team members and other service lines across the firm.
- A real team-player with a ‘can-do’ attitude.
- A keen interest in working in a challenging and sociable environment.
- A commitment to continuous learning and to improving your own technical expertise.
