Freelance Chartered Structural Engineer - High-Rise Residential (London)
Location: London (Multiple Sites)
Contract Type: Freelance / Consultancy

Duration: Ongoing / Project-Based
Responsibilities
- Lead structural design and analysis for high-rise residential buildings
- Review and approve structural drawings, calculations, and reports
- Conduct site inspections and advise on structural matters during construction
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and contractors
- Ensure designs comply with UK building regulations, Eurocodes, and relevant standards
- Provide expert input on value engineering and buildability
Qualifications
- Chartered Engineer (CEng MICE or MIStructE)
- Strong experience in high-rise residential structures (RC frame essential)
- Proficient in structural design software (e.g. Tekla, ETABS, Robot, Tedds)
- Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- Based in or able to travel regularly within London
