Job Description

JRCT is an independent funder dedicated to social justice, human rights, and environmental sustainability. Inspired by our founder Joseph Rowntree’s conviction that true progress involves addressing root causes, we have supported efforts to tackle conflict and injustice for over 120 years. In 2024, we awarded £13.8 million in grants, currently funding 340 organisations, from well-known charities to grassroots groups.

This is an exciting opportunity for a new Chief Executive to lead a long-established social justice funder and support those working toward a fairer future. Our organisation is at a critical juncture, and the new Chief Executive will guide us through significant change, ensuring we continue to evolve our practices alongside our core mission of funding initiatives that address root causes of conflict and injustice.

We seek an individual who is passionate about our mission and aligns with Quaker values of simplicity, truth, equality, and peace. If you are committed to strengthening JRCT to better support organisations tackling society’s toughest challenges, we encourage you to apply.
