Overview

As a Claims Auditor you will work closely with the Claims Audit Lead to provide auditing resources, ensuring Acorn's regulatory compliance and governance controls operate effectively to mitigate risks. You will engage with Claims Handlers and other Claims staff to identify root causes of issues and barriers to success, and work with team leaders to develop quality reviewing skills and improve operation of the Quality Management system.

Location

Liverpool or Sevenoaks with hybrid working. Also open to remote (with occasional travel) for those unable to regularly commute to these locations.

Working hours

37.5 hours a week - Monday to Friday from 9am to 5:30pm

Salary

£31,349 - £43,750 depending on experience, plus an up to £2000 annual bonus, paid out quarterly.

What you will be doing

  • Contribute to planning of Audit activity
  • Delivery of agreed audit activity
  • Producing insightful reports with the Claims Audit Lead and Governance Manager to drive business improvement and compliance
  • Be an integral part of the Claims Governance Team, carrying out deep dive reviews to support understanding of root causes, and testing solutions before audit actions are assessed as resolved
  • Support the Claims Audit Lead with oversight of the Quality Performance System, undertaking Calibration with the Claims Audit Lead, providing coaching and support to Quality Reviewers (Team Leaders)
  • Stay updated on changes in FCA and FOS regulations and communicate these changes to the team, implementing and advising on necessary process changes

What we're looking for

  • Excellent written English and report writing skills
  • Direct experience of working in several Claims disciplines, including customer facing roles, personal injury and credit hire essential
  • Demonstrable investigation skills
  • Motivated self-starter who is able to plan, and deliver against deadlines
  • Understands the regulatory framework in which Acorn Claims operates, keeping knowledge up to date
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and produce meaningful reports
  • Enthusiasm and passion for Quality, being resilient in ensuring that identified improvements are sustained
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with Senior Managers, Team Leaders and Claims Handlers
  • Career focused, having attained or willingness to work towards relevant Industry qualifications
