The Role

Working with Start-ups, Scale-ups and SMEs, you will be a confident client facing accountant ensuring the following duties are carried out in a proactive and timely manner:

  • Liaising and managing a portfolio of clients
  • Training and managing a team of between 3-4 of Junior to Semi-Senior Accountants
  • Reviewing Year End Accounts, VAT returns, Payroll Submissions
  • Looking at how you can add further client value through Advisory services
  • Preparing financial forecasts for clients
  • Promoting the firm’s wider Advisory services such as EIS & SEIS, EMI Schemes

Skills and attributes required for the role include:

  • Qualified ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA (preferred but not essential)
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines (essential)
  • Previous experience working within a practice or professional services organisation (essential)
  • Experience working with cloud-base Accounting softwares including Xero & Quickbooks (preferred)

This role will suit a newly qualified or an individual who is qualified by experience. The role requires individuals who are self-starters and can make the role into their own.

Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 (Dependent on experience and qualification/s)

Qualifications and experience

  • ACCA/ACA/CIMA or equivalent (preferred but not essential)
  • Experience in practice or professional services
  • Experience with Xero or QuickBooks (preferred)
