Overview: What will you be doing?
As Client Partner you will lead the day-to-day management and output of the account team, ensuring strong ways of working across the Power of One team. You will shape and drive the client and agency’s strategic visions, ensure smooth daily operations, and identify opportunities for growth. You will oversee the team’s outputs to maintain high standards with the client and agency interests central to all proposals.
This role requires a dynamic planning mind with meticulous attention to detail and solid media knowledge. You should be a media expert with a proactive and commercial mindset.
Responsibilities
Insights Driven
- Work closely with strategists and the data team to ensure that all work drives informed business decisions and delivers against business outcomes.
- Base client strategy on robust, data-backed insights.
- Collaborate with the Power of One team to identify data sources across the team that help define and plan growth.
Planning Expertise
- Maintain planning excellence through a commitment to upskilling and learning for you and the team.
- Develop complex planning strategies that align to the global Starcom Movement framework.
- Blend creative thinking with analytical rigour and strong storytelling skills.
- Develop deep knowledge of media channels, costs, trends and modelling applications.
- Collaborate with client and internal teams to develop strategy and plan.
Influence
- Demonstrate leadership across the team and account; lead strategic and operational discussions.
- Communicate with clarity and authority.
- Secure high satisfaction scores from team and clients.
- Foster robust relationships with clients, internal stakeholders, and industry leaders.
- Actively contribute to Starcom initiatives.
Commercial Mindset
- Own the commercial responsibility of the client portfolio with support from GCL and Managing Partner.
- Maintain and update revenue forecasts, team costs, and manage client contracts.
- Apply a strategic lens to every initiative and identify opportunities to drive growth.
- Resolve commercial challenges and ensure good financial governance across the account.
- Have pitch experience and encourage the team to participate in new business pitches.
Qualifications
What are we looking for?
Client Partners are leaders who build on planning excellence while elevating the agency’s strategic and commercial direction. In addition to client leadership and high-quality strategic outputs, Client Partners take a proactive role in relieving the Managing Partner of day-to-day pressures to drive the agency forward.
The Client Partner will lead high-level agency discussions with a focus on fees, remuneration, and cost efficiency. The role requires exceptional persuasion and influence among senior stakeholders, strong agency contribution, and responsibility for proactively delivering the agency goals.
- Experience working directly with clients in an agency environment and proven ability to build strong, trusted relationships.
- Tight project leadership and management skills ensuring accuracy, organization and collaboration.
- Experience on large-scale brand work.
- Unsurpassed attention to detail and media knowledge, especially planning knowledge.
- Team management ensuring outputs are of high quality.
- Team development fostering curiosity, learning, growth and pride.
- Ability to work within and contribute to an integrated agency team across media and data.
- Strong grasp of the communications planning process and holistic cross-channel strategy.
- Experience in and passion for the Tech Category would be ideal.
