What will you be doing?

As Client Partner you will be leading the day to day management and output of the account team, as well as ensuring strong ways of working throughout the Power of One team. You will have responsibility for shaping and driving forward the client and agency’s strategic visions, ensuring that the day to day is running smoothly, and ensuring that you have one eye on opportunities for continued growth. You will have oversight of the team’s outputs, ensuring the highest standards are met and the interests of the client and agency are central to anything proposed. This role calls for a dynamic and passionate planning mind along with an unsurpassed attention to detail and media knowledge. You need to be a media expert, with a pro-active & commercial mindset.

Responsibilities

Insights Driven

  • Base every client strategy on robust, data-backed insights
  • Work with Po1 team to identify data sources across all team which help to define & plan against sources of growth

Planning Expertise

  • Maintain planning excellence (your own & the team’s) through a commitment to upskilling and learning
  • Develop complex planning strategies that align to the global Starcom “Movement” framework
  • Seamlessly blend creative thinking with analytical rigour
  • Strong storytelling skills
  • Develop deep knowledge of media channels, costs, trends and application of modelling techniques
  • Open to working collaboratively with client team as well as internal teams to develop strategy & plan

Influence

  • Demonstrate leadership across all aspects of the team & account; leading strategic & operational discussions
  • Communicate with clarity & authority
  • Secure high satisfaction scores from team & clients
  • Foster robust relationships with clients, internal stakeholders & industry leaders
  • Actively contribute to Starcom initiatives

Commercial Mindset

  • Own the commercial responsibility of your client portfolio – with support from GCL & Managing Partner
  • Maintain & update revenue forecasts, team costs & manage client contract
  • Apply a strategic lens to every initiative
  • Identify opportunities to drive growth and resolve commercial challenges
  • Ensure good financial governance is adhered to across the account
  • Have pitch experience & encourage team to get involved in new business pitches

Qualifications

What are we looking for?

Client Partners are leaders who build on the foundations of planning excellence while elevating the strategic and commercial direction of the agency. In addition to ensuring client leadership and high-quality strategic outputs, Client Partners take a proactive role in relieving the Managing Partner of day-to-day pressures in order to drive the agency forward.

The Client Partner will lead high-level agency discussions with a specific focus on fees, remuneration, and cost efficiency of the team. Their role requires exceptional persuasion and wider influence among senior stakeholders, strong agency contribution, and a high level of responsibility for pro-actively delivering the agency goals.

  • Experience working directly with clients in an agency environment and have proven evidence of developing strong and trusted relationships
  • Tight project leadership and management skills including driving accuracy, organization and collaboration from our team
  • Experience on large scale brand
  • Unsurpassed attention to detail and media knowledge, in particular planning knowledge
  • Team management, ensuring all outputs from them are of a high-quality standard
  • Team development, instilling a culture of curiosity, learning, growth and pride
  • Ability to work within and contribute to an integrated agency team across media and data
  • Strong grasp of the communications planning process and an understanding of how to implement a holistic x-channel strategy
  • Experience in (and passion for) the Tech Category would be ideal
