Collaborative Temporary Staffing Team Leader – Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust

Join to apply for the Collaborative Temporary Staffing Team Leader role at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust.

The Temporary Staffing Team is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic and skilled individual who can demonstrate a well-organised and proactive approach with a "can do" attitude to lead our collaborative temporary staffing team, covering all temporary staffing requirements across the Kent & Medway.

If you thrive in a busy, constantly changing work environment, and relish the challenge of successfully covering temporary staffing requirements for all staff groups across the region, we would love to hear from you.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to develop their career in the Temporary staffing sector within the NHS. You would be leading a dedicated team who can make such a difference to patient care on a daily basis, whilst assisting with the reduction in temporary staffing costs across Kent & Medway.

With current Hybrid working in place, we work across various sites in Kent and Medway, with occasional home working opportunities. Our service hours are currently 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday, however this may be subject to change to meet the service needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of timely and cost-effective temporary staffing bookings for all staff groups across the region, streamlining practices and negotiating rates as required to provide a professional, efficient and cost-effective Collaborative Temporary Staffing Service, ensuring bookings comply with current booking procedures, protocols, NHS Employers requirements, NHSI requirements and best practice.
  • Monitor, collate and report temporary staffing data, and develop, amend and disseminate reports to meet requirements.
  • Develop and maintain effective professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Plan and prioritise own work and oversee the work of the team, ensuring a proactive and cost-effective service delivery compliant with departmental SLAs, SOPs, policies, and NHSI requirements.
  • Plan and oversee local induction, support, shadowing and on-the-job training for new team members.

Requirements / Qualifications

  • Experience leading a team in temporary staffing or related NHS environment.
