Job Purpose

This junior role delivers support in pitching in and executing cross-category retail marketing programs for BBC Studios brands, with a focus on Bluey. This role is responsible for supporting the Senior Commercial Manager (Brands and Licensing) in growing BBC’s retail footprint and presence in ANZ to deliver commercial growth for the ANZ business. It’s a brilliant opportunity to work across top-tier commercial brand partnerships and retail promotions, with best-in-class licensing partners and major ANZ retailers.

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Support and help nurture relationships with retail buyers and licensing partners
• Update brand and pitch decks for key retail and current or prospective partner presentations – Must be proficient in powerpoint
• Provide regular updates to stakeholders, including internal sales and post-campaign reports, market trend reports and retail newsletters
• Support rollout of retail marketing programs. Brief in, collate and monitor marketing collateral for campaigns, working closely with the marketing team on campaign timelines and approvals
• Support priority product launches or category expansion as set out by Senior Commercial Manager and Head of Licensing
• Perform regular retail store checks and collate retail and competitor trend reports
• Coordinate and manage on-the-ground retail activations, such as costume character appearances
• Attendance at trade shows, industry functions and external partner meetings where applicable
• Administrative duties including coordinating on contracts and NDAs, meeting minutes, regularly updating and sending reports, managing the retail planning calendar, raising PO’s and invoices, coordinating meetings etc

Knowledge, Skills, Training & Experience

• Competent & confident in all main computer packages, with high proficiency in Powerpoint
• Planning and excellent attention to detail
• Ability to work autonomously
• Creative thinker with bold ideas
• Excellent stakeholder management, both internally and externally, with a focus on nurturing relationships with licensees and retail partners
• Solution oriented
• First rate communication and strong interpersonal skills essential
• Ability to organise small events and projects
• Ability to draft critical time paths and reports and record minutes of meetings
• Excellent organisational skills, demonstrating ability to work on several projects at one time.
• Resourcefulness and problem solving
• Good team worker and first to offer support to others when under pressure.
• This role requires excellent prioritisation skills
• This role requires working with global teams, agencies, partners across multiple time zones, and can, at times, require working outside of Australian business hours.

Professional Experience

• At least 1 year experience in sales, marketing or account management
• Retail, licensed consumer products and/or media experience a bonus
• Proven experience of working on multiple projects or campaigns with multiple stakeholders
