Overview

Commercial Data Analyst - 3-4 Month Contract in Central Manchester. Office-based 3 days per week. IR35 Status: TBC. Rate: up to £550 per day. Account is an in-house role at Rullion, focusing on Programme Delivery & Technology within the Transport sector.

We’re seeking a Commercial Data Analyst to unlock value from a newly launched Single Customer View (SCV) platform by turning data into meaningful insights, KPIs, and actionable strategies that drive measurable business outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Analyse SCV datasets to identify gaps, opportunities, and risks across departments.
  • Translate business challenges into data-driven opportunities, aligning SCV insights to organisational goals.
  • Select relevant KPIs and define how they should be measured using SCV data.
  • Produce clear, actionable recommendations that demonstrate where and how SCV data can add value, such as:
  • Opportunities for more personalised marketing and customer engagement
  • Improvements in customer experience, both digital and in-person
  • Commercial tactics to increase revenue and reduce subsidy reliance
  • Operational efficiencies and performance improvements
  • Partner with stakeholders across Marketing, Customer Experience, Commercial, Operations, Engineering, Finance, HR, and Major Projects to ensure SCV data is embedded and delivering value.
  • Gap Analysis – evaluate current processes and identify where SCV data can add tangible value.
  • Data Value Awareness – experience working with customer and operational data to deliver measurable impact.
  • Stakeholder Engagement – collaborate with diverse teams from marketing activation to front-line operations.
  • Requirements Gathering – document and validate requirements using approaches such as user stories, process flows, and data mapping.

Qualifications & What we’re looking for

A curious and commercially focused analyst who isn’t just interested in making data visible, but in showing how it can be used to move the needle. You’ll be comfortable working across departments, bridging the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, and producing outputs that clearly link SCV data to real-world results.
