Exciting Global Manufacturing and Retail Business Seeks Commercial Accountant with Wings.

Reporting to Finance Director: The role’s purpose is to supercharge commercial decision‑making across the business. You’ll take the reins of FP&A, flash reporting, cost analysis, and high‑impact projects — with full visibility across a fast‑moving, global operation.

We are keen to hear from growth‑driven Qualified Accountants (ACA / CIMA / ACCA) who thrive on influencing and making an impact. You’ll bring a proven record of driving efficiencies, unlocking value, and boosting bottom‑line performance. Sharp analytical instincts are essential, as is the boldness to challenge, partner, and lead across the business. This role is a hybrid role with company offices in South Manchester.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong, collaborative relationships with key stakeholders
  • Dive deep into monthly results and cash flow to uncover opportunities, spotlight risks, and drive value
  • Deliver sharp, timely insights on operational performance, turning data into action and trends into strategy
  • Lead ad hoc analysis that sparks conversation, challenges thinking, and drives decisive action
  • Bring a commercial lens to business proposals; your financial perspective will shape smarter decisions
  • Support the rollout of systems, processes, and data controls that elevate reporting and governance
  • Own the rhythm of regular finance reviews with customer stakeholders — lead with clarity, challenge with confidence
  • Take charge of budgeting and forecasting, setting the pace for performance and planning
  • Coach and empower finance team members
  • Communicate financials with precision and impact — making numbers meaningful at every level
  • Thrive in cross‑functional settings, translating finance into performance with non‑finance colleagues
  • Spot financial risks early and act fast to mitigate them
