Overview
An established, internationally focused City law firm is looking to welcome a Compliance Assistant into its growing Risk & Compliance team.
If you've already got around 12 months of experience in legal compliance and want to step up, this role gives you the platform: exposure to AML/KYC, risk management, audits, and direct interaction with senior stakeholders across the business.
The Role
You'll work across a wide mix of compliance matters, including:
- Client onboarding and AML/KYC checks.
- File reviews and spot checks against SRA, Lexcel, and ISO standards.
- Keeping compliance registers and manuals up to date.
- Preparing for internal and external audits.
- Supporting training, reporting, and governance projects.
- Providing general admin support to the compliance team.
What They're Looking For
- At least 12 months' experience in a compliance role within a law firm or professional services.
- Solid knowledge of AML/KYC and regulatory frameworks.
- Organised, detail-focused, and confident handling sensitive information.
- Strong communication skills and a proactive mindset.
Desirable (but not essential):
- Experience with Lexcel, ISO or accreditation processes.
- A degree in Law, Business, or a related subject.
- Familiarity with compliance systems and AML databases.
