Are you passionate about promoting a culture of compliance and conduct risk management within a dynamic retail environment? AXA Retail is seeking a dedicated Conduct & Compliance Manager to join our team. Reporting directly to the Head of Conduct, Compliance & Regulatory Change, you’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring that robust mechanisms are in place to identify and manage conduct risk exposure in alignment with our risk appetite.
Your expertise will be key in providing technical compliance support to key stakeholders, empowering our business to navigate complex regulatory landscapes effectively. In this role, you’ll proactively collaborate with various teams to achieve our strategic business priorities. You’ll deliver impactful internal communication, expert support, and advisory services, all while guiding stakeholders on best practices and supporting initiatives aimed at enhancing our conduct risk maturity. You'll work at least 40% of your week away from home, moving to the majority of your working week from September 2025. We’re also happy to consider flexible working arrangements, which you can discuss with Talent Acquisition.
What you’ll be doing:
- Embed effective conduct risk management principles and practices by providing expert advice on process and controls design, incident resolution, and participation in conduct risk meetings.
- Disseminate and explain governance processes and procedures to ensure clarity and compliance across the organisation.
- Influence change initiatives to ensure they are designed to deliver fair customer outcomes and align with the agreed conduct risk appetite.
- Provide compliance advice and guidance to the front-line business to support their operational effectiveness and adherence to regulations.
- Analyse proposed regulatory changes and offer advice on their impacts, ensuring the front-line business is informed and prepared.
- Support the timely and adequate delivery of regulatory actions, ensuring that all requirements are met effectively.
- Foster positive relationships with the front-line business to support and constructively challenge their conduct controls, while promoting knowledge sharing with the first line risk function and liaising with second and third lines of defence.
