We’re currently on the lookout for a Construction Assurance Engineer to join our Capital teams to work on projects within our waste/water treatment programme! The role will be home based with travel across Warwickshire.

EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

As a Construction Assurance Engineer, you will assist the Project Managers and Construction Managers to deliver projects in accordance with NEC4 conditions of contract whilst managing interfaces with local, third parties, customers and contractors and providing first line quality assurance. As well as this you’ll be the point of contact for the onsite contractors.

Your key accountabilities in helping us will be:

Assist the project team in identifying and mitigating risks to the project

Uphold Severn Trent standards and procedures

Pre-construction duties including Enabling and Investigation works

Undertake assurance testing of installed work

Ensure on site work is carried out to required standards and delivered right first time

Respond to, and address incidents with the Project Manager

Drive the projects to construction completion

Attend and contribute to site meetings

Liaise with statutory bodies such and the general public

Assist in the resolution of customer queries and complaints

Carry our inspections and audits

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

Civil engineering and construction background would be advantageous and experience of managing site safety with relevant accreditations such as IOSH/SMSTS.

In this role you’ll have the ability to manage own time and workload across several concurrent projects with consideration of the delivery risks, operational risks, priorities, and programmes of individual projects.

You’ll have effective Communication: skilful in utilising the best strategies to communicate both positive and challenging messages.

You’ll hold a full UK Driving Licence.
