Job Description:

We are seeking a 3-8 PQE Associate / Senior Associate to join our thriving Construction practice. The team is based across Cardiff, Southampton, and Oxford, but we are open to candidates interested in working from Reading or London. The team handles both contentious and non-contentious matters, encouraging skill development across a broad range of areas. Given our recent focus on high-profile transactional work, familiarity with JCT and NEC contracts from a construction and property development perspective is ideal. The successful candidate will have opportunities to develop expertise in large infrastructure, rail, and green energy projects.

We support hybrid working, typically with 2-3 days of flexible office attendance based on business needs.

Skills / Experience Required

We are interested in candidates with high-caliber construction experience from a leading national, regional, or City law firm. In-house experience at major contractors, consultants, or public bodies is also highly valued.

• 3-8 PQE
• Confident and personable
• Very familiar with JCT and NEC contracts
• Keen to develop cross-team project experience
• Strong technical competence and intellectual ability
• Good communication skills (verbal and written)
• A team player with leadership potential
