FJA is recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the Utilities industry for an experienced Construction Manager to strengthen their construction team.

Construction Manager Role:

• Overseeing health, safety, environmental, and sustainability aspects of construction projects
• Ensuring compliance with all regulations and project deliverables
• Leading local construction teams to deliver projects efficiently and responsibly

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage construction teams to deliver projects on time and within budget; facilitate project kick-off meetings and conduct regular health checks
• Manage supplier performance related to safety, timeliness, and quality; approve risk assessments (RAMS)
• Collaborate with the Lead Construction Manager to determine resource requirements
• Foster a safe work environment, empowering team members to raise safety concerns and maintain safety compliance
• Prioritize zero waste and reduce embodied carbon in activities
• Combine standard products with innovative techniques to maintain industry leadership

Requirements:

• Experience or qualification in temporary works management or compliance
• Proven project management experience
• Relevant construction-related degree or equivalent
• APMP or equivalent
• Extensive experience delivering large-scale construction projects
• Water/wastewater treatment industry experience
• Strong knowledge of CDM and health and safety regulations
• Result-oriented with strong communication skills
• Strong strategic, operational, and technical skills
