Senior Solicitor/Associate – Contentious Construction

Overview

A growing Construction & Engineering disputes team is keen to recruit a solicitor with 2–7 years’ PQE to take on a varied and challenging role within a high-performing group. This is a chance to work on technically complex and high-value disputes across Scotland and the UK, supporting clients from both public and private sectors including developers, funders, insurers and contractors.

Role Requirements

Experience:

  • 2–7 years of post-qualification experience in contentious construction matters
  • Exposure to formal dispute procedures including litigation, arbitration, adjudication and mediation
  • Confidence in advising clients on risk, commercial strategy and dispute resolution approaches
  • Comfortable working directly with clients and building lasting relationships

Skills:

  • Advocacy experience and the ability to represent clients in hearings and tribunals
  • Well-developed analytical and drafting capabilities
  • Clear and adaptable communicator, both written and verbal
  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively in a team on large, multi-party matters
