Location

We have offices in Edinburgh, Glasgow and Inverness. We work fully dynamically, meaning that our team are trusted to work where suits the situation best. There’s no mandatory time in the office, but you will need to come in regularly for meetings and events.

Responsibilities

  • Day to day management of a client portfolio, delivering work according to budget and deadlines.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the firm to provide a coordinated quality client service.
  • Review of corporation tax work, tax accounting figures & disclosures, and assisting junior members with technical queries.
  • Providing ad hoc tax advice to clients.
  • Involvement with specialist advisory projects – examples include demergers, refinancing, restructuring, due diligence, capital allowance reports, overseas tax matters, property transactions, amongst others.
  • Proactive identification of opportunities to deliver additional value to clients.
  • Coaching and developing junior members of the team.
  • Play a key role in driving and maintaining a positive team culture.
  • As part of the tax management team, collectively lead compliance operations and process improvement to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Alignment with our purpose and values.
  • Relevant corporate tax expertise to work autonomously on client work and provide high quality service.
  • Motivation and commitment to continually developing your skills.
  • Experience of supervising and guiding junior staff.
  • A good understanding of the tax legislation and the ability to explain technical issues to clients and colleagues.
  • Experience of reviewing work and ability to organise and delegate work efficiently to deliver on time and in budget.
  • Whilst a relevant qualification is desirable – ATT, CTA, or CA – it is not essential if you have relevant corporate tax experience.
