Council Tax/Benefits Team Manager
Location: West Midlands (Hybrid – 2/3 days in the office)
Are you an experienced Revenues or Benefits professional looking to advance your career? We are seeking a Council Tax/Benefits Team Manager to lead a high-performing team and oversee the delivery of essential local services across Shropshire.
In this key role, you will be responsible for service delivery, ensuring legislative compliance, and promoting continuous improvement. You will utilize your analytical skills to interpret performance data, anticipate regulatory changes, and collaborate with stakeholders to keep the service ahead of the curve.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in Revenues or Benefits, including Council Tax
- Degree or equivalent qualification (IRRV Level 3 desirable)
- Strong ICT skills and effective communication abilities
- Proven leadership, team development, and motivational skills
- Collaborative, open, and proactive approach
- Ability to work remotely with the requirement to attend the office as needed
