Job Title: Council Tax/Benefits Team Manager
Location: West Midlands (Hybrid – 2/3 days in the office)
Are you an experienced Revenues or Benefits professional looking to take the next step in your career? We’re recruiting a Council Tax/Benefits Team Manager to lead a high-performing team and drive the delivery of essential local services across Shropshire.
In this pivotal role, you’ll oversee service delivery, ensure legislative compliance, and champion continuous improvement. You’ll use your analytical skills to interpret performance data, anticipate regulatory changes, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the service stays ahead of the curve.
What we’re looking for:
- Experience in Revenues or Benefits, Council Tax
- Degree or equivalent (IRRV Level 3 desirable)
- Strong ICT skills and effective communication
- Proven leadership, team development and motivational skills
- Collaborative, open and proactive approach
- Ability to work from home and attend the office when required
