WSP is a global engineering and professional services firm with teams across the UK and Ireland.ResponsibilitiesHaving clear ownership of an overseas debt ledger, resolving easy debt, tricky debts and everything in betweenBuilding great, productive relationships across all levels of the businessDriving cash flow to meet your own and your stakeholders’ targetsHelping stakeholders understand how to use our Debt Collection AgencyRaising the profile of the credit policies and Credit Management servicesTeam-working to ensure no balls are dropped when others are on holidayWhat will you achieve in your first year? You will become part of an energetic team, working together to support engineers in the collection of payments for the projects they have delivered. The majority of your time will be spent contacting clients on the ledger to ensure invoices are received and objections to payment are overcome. You will build relationships with key stakeholders across Finance and the operational business, using those connections to push debts to their conclusion through joining calls with clients or debt review calls. You will become a key member of the wider business team and an expert in collecting cash in the industry.What we will be looking for you to demonstrateCredit Control / Accounts Receivable or other transactional accounting experience such as Accounts Payable, Treasury, Cash Application or BillingExperience in a Professional Services environment (e.g., Law firm or Consultancy) or Engineering / Construction sectorProficient in English, French and German (spoken and written)Ability to manage multiple priorities, manage your own time and meet deadlinesGreat attention to detail and commitment to delivering excellent serviceComfort with contacting internal and external customers by telephone, and with writing clear, accurate emails.
