Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fast-paced and high-performing team within the London Market Credit Control function. As a Credit Controller, you’ll manage a diverse portfolio of international clients, ensuring timely collections and maintaining accurate financial records. You’ll engage with clients via phone, email, Teams, and in-person meetings, and you will thrive in a role that requires ownership, precision, and strong interpersonal skills.

You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders including Underwriting, Claims, and Finance to resolve queries, escalate issues where necessary, and contribute to process improvements that enhance overall team performance. Your ability to manage multi-currency transactions and reconcile accounts accurately will be essential in maintaining ledger health and supporting aged debt reduction.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a diversified portfolio of international client accounts and drive timely collections.
  • Engage with clients via phone, email, Teams, and in-person meetings to resolve queries and disputes.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Underwriting, Claims, Finance) to resolve issues and support process improvements.
  • Reconcile multi-currency transactions and maintain ledger accuracy to support aged debt reduction.
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with company policies.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Experience in credit control, ideally within insurance or financial services.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems (e.g., SAP).
  • Experience handling multi-currency accounts (e.g., USD, EUR, GBP).
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; comfortable with phone and face-to-face interactions.
  • High attention to detail with accuracy in account reconciliation and invoice management.
  • Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise in a high-volume environment.
  • Team player with ability to collaborate across functions.
