Your new team: Maternity Cover - Fixed Term Contract. The Customer Marketing on-trade team sits within Brand in Hand within Pernod Ricard UK’s Commercial team, forming the link between Marketing and Commercial.

The key purpose of this role is to contribute to the development of relevant investment and activation strategy to create world-class customer marketing plans across Pernod Ricard UK’s Wine, Spirits and Champagne portfolio, aligning brand and customer strategies with effective and innovative marketing solutions for mutual growth.

Crucial to success is turning category and consumer insight into activation that supports the consumer path to purchase and drives conversion and advocacy at key moments. The team leads disruptive activation in flagship venues and city centres across the UK, driving consumer footfall and purchase through advocacy, activation and digital amplification.

Responsibilities

  • 1. Marketing Activation Plan: Lead the development of customer marketing plans (brand dependent), manage internal stakeholders and key agency relationships, oversee development and implementation of plans, manage an integrated customer activity calendar, and recommend quarterly investment choices in line with LE reviews.
  • 2. Evaluation: contribute to an evaluation culture, adopt a framework for activity evaluation, derive key learnings, and lead evaluation of key customer marketing activities based on sales uplift, ROI, brand objectives and KPIs.
  • 3. Tools: recommend development of selling tools (e.g., selling decks, brand fact sheets) to support sell-in of brand initiatives, deliver category/channel-based presentations for customer reviews, and lead the development of price tracking tools for use across customer and brand teams.
  • 4. Finance: manage the customer marketing budget for the dedicated brand and perform monthly reconciliation of A&P spend.

Qualifications

  • Have experience in developing and delivering marketing plans.
  • Clear communications skills and the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and customers.
  • Previous experience managing budgets.

Working with others

Internally, you will work with field sales managers, BDEs, CAEs, RBMs, brand team, sales team, category management team and the finance department. Externally, your contacts will be customers, key agencies and stakeholders.
