Role: Data Integration Specialist

You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining data integrations that support the seamless flow of data between systems, applications, and databases. This is a great opportunity to work collaboratively on brand new platforms, focusing on green field development, across a multi company organisation.

Reporting to the Data Engineering Manager, the Data Integration Specialist will deliver all aspects of data integration from demand planning through to handover into operational IT, retaining a responsibility to support IT operations in occasional exceptional / complex problems (3rd / 4th line).

This is a full time, permanent role, working 8am to 5pm Monday to Friday. You will be based from either our Castleford head office (WF10 5HW) or our Altrincham office (WA15 8FH) on a hybrid basis (working from home with an office day at least once a week). This role would suit someone who has experience as a Data Engineer, looking for their next career move into a rapidly growing, data driven organisation.

What you will be doing:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, business analysts, data scientists, and project managers to understand data integration requirements and deliver solutions that meet those needs.
  • Develop and implement efficient and scalable data integration processes to support business needs.
  • Analyze data from multiple systems and sources to develop accurate data mappings and transformation rules.
  • Create and maintain documentation for data mappings, workflows, and transformation logic.
  • Work closely with system architects to ensure data integration solutions are aligned with the organization’s data architecture.
  • Ensure that integrated systems and data solutions are optimized for performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Ensure seamless data flow between different systems, including databases, CRMs, ERPs, and third-party applications.
  • Monitor data integration workflows to identify and resolve data discrepancies, inconsistencies, or failures in real time.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues across integrated systems and data pipelines.
  • Provide technical support and expertise to other teams regarding data integration best practices and solutions.
  • Present and communicate data integration solutions to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Automate routine data integration tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
  • Implement data masking, encryption, and other security measures as necessary to protect sensitive data during integration.

  • Experience with the development and implementation of APIs.
  • Strong knowledge of relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL) and data query languages (SQL, PL/SQL, etc.).
