The Opportunity

Sizewell C is the UK’s next nuclear power new‑build project, following the success of Hinkley Point C. With planning approval, construction underway and a Financial Investment Decision secured, the project will deliver dependable electricity to 6 million homes for 60 years, supporting Britain’s Net Zero ambition. Our teams work flexibly with a hybrid model, supported by full IT equipment for home working.

The Role

As the organisation’s Data Protection Officer you will be the key advisor on data protection matters, ensuring compliance with UK GDPR, the DPA 2018, PECR and other applicable legislation. You will embed a strong culture of data protection and ethical information handling across a large, complex, multi‑stakeholder infrastructure project.

The Skills & Qualifications

  • In‑depth knowledge of UK GDPR, DPA 2018, PECR and related legislation.
  • Proven experience in a Data Protection Officer or senior privacy compliance role.
  • Strong stakeholder‑management skills and ability to influence at all levels.
  • Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills.
  • Relevant professional certification (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM or equivalent).
