Our client is seeking a Design Engineer to ensure design excellence across a portfolio of 300+ workplace and job centre projects. This is a strategic, non-hands-on role focused on design assurance, standards evolution, and guidance.

Duration: 6 months initial

Location: Cardiff, 3 days onsite/week

Salary: Up to £500 per day

Essential Criteria

• Professional qualification in Architecture or Interior Design (experience in commercial/retail sectors preferred)
• Experience delivering large-scale workplace or public sector projects, especially job centres
• Knowledge of inclusive design principles and accessibility standards
• Ability to engage stakeholders and present to senior audiences
• Experience developing and implementing design standards
• Knowledge of UK Building Regulations and RIBA project stages
