Overview

We are looking for a .Net Developer to join our expanding development team at Superdrug. The team works in an AGILE manner using Kanban methodology. Our Head Office is based by East Croydon station and we strive to be the best in accessible health & beauty, loved by our customers for value, choice, friendly advice, service and fun.

This is an exciting opportunity to join an established and growing high street retailer.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders to define project requirements and deliverables.
  • Ensure the scalability, performance, and security of software applications.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Stay up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues as they arise.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and best practices.

Technical Responsibilities

  • Design software solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical requirements.
  • Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including system architecture diagrams and API specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues, ensuring minimal disruption to development processes.
  • Optimize application performance and scalability through effective coding practices and system design.
  • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline the development and deployment process.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of software applications through adherence to cybersecurity best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience as a .Net Developer or similar role.
  • Strong proficiency in the .Net Stack.
  • Experience developing mobile applications in Xamarin / .Net MAUI / Flutter.
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Experience with cloud computing platforms, ideally Azure.

Hours

37.5 hours | 9.00am - 5.30pm - Hybrid working available depending on role responsibilities with 2 days working from home and 3 days in our stylish, modern and collaborative office close to East Croydon Station.
