Overview

Our client is a dynamic team focused on maintaining and evolving digital services and infrastructure. They operate a blend of on-premises and cloud-based systems and are looking for a talented DevOps Engineer to enhance and support their setup, with a strong focus on improving their website and associated processes.

As the new DevOps Engineer, you will support their on-prem application and take primary ownership of the delivery pipeline and deployment for their .NET application tier. This role is focused on the application layer, though experience tuning and optimizing infrastructure configurations is beneficial. You will ensure highly available, secure, and automated deployments onto Windows Servers (IIS) and SQL Server environments, with occasional integration of containerization technologies.

Responsibilities

• Own the delivery pipeline and deployment for the .NET application tier.
• Ensure highly available, secure, and automated deployments onto Windows Servers (IIS) and SQL Server environments.
• Integrate containerization technologies where appropriate.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve website and related processes.

Required Experience / Qualifications

• Proven experience with CI/CD pipeline design and management for .NET application tiers, using Azure DevOps and yaml-based pipelines.
• Hands-on experience deploying and supporting Microsoft .NET applications on Windows Server (IIS) and SQL Server environments.
• Proficiency in PowerShell for scripting, automation, and application-level operational tasks.
• Strong understanding of zero-downtime or low-downtime deployment techniques and integrating pipelines with load balancers.
• Good knowledge of Entra (Azure AD), Privileged Identity Management (PIM), and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC).
• Knowledge of container technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.) is desirable.
