Director, Product Analytics - FlexiPay & Credit Card. Funding Circle is seeking an exceptional Director of Product Analytics to join our FlexiPay and Credit Card team. This is a pivotal leadership role where you will build and scale a high-performing analytics function, directly influencing strategic decisions and shaping the future roadmap of our products.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of four analysts, empowering them to become trusted partners across product, risk, sales, marketing, finance, and operations.
  • Drive data-driven insights and ensure robust measurement of impact, fostering a continuous cycle of improvement and innovation.
  • Own the analytics roadmap and align it with product priorities and organisational objectives.
  • Define and execute how analytics contributes to product and business objectives, embedding data and insights into decisions.
  • Establish KPIs, deliver data products, insights, and tools that provide measurable business value.
  • Collaborate with finance, risk, and business stakeholders on planning, forecasting, reporting, data integrity, and user adoption.
  • Develop and coach analytics talent; foster a culture of experimentation, data definitions, and rigorous data-driven decision making.
  • Partner with product, engineering, design, risk, sales, marketing, and operations to maximise data value across priorities.
  • Promote curiosity, continuous learning, and technical excellence within the team; stay abreast of analytics, experimentation, and behavioural science best practices.
  • Identify and mitigate risks, issues, or control weaknesses in day-to-day activities.

What we’re looking for

  • Proven Analytics Leader: Experience building and scaling analytics functions in fast-paced, growing companies (preferably 5+ teams); fintech/credit-lending experience is a plus.
  • Analytical Acumen: Strong interpretative thinking and analytical skills for complex/sensitive situations.
  • Storyteller with Data: Ability to simplify complex data and drive organisational change through compelling narratives.
  • Team Builder & Developer: Track record of leading and growing analytics teams and enabling cross-functional partnerships.
  • Technical Proficiency: Hands-on data manipulation and analysis skills, including SQL, Python (or R), and AWS; ability to coach others.
  • Collaborative Project Ownership: Experience leading cross-functional projects using OKRs and KPIs to deliver impact.
  • Advanced Analytics: Practical experience with AI/ML techniques and predictive modeling.
