Solicitor / Chartered Legal Executive - Dispute Resolution

Job Summary

In order to continue the growth of our Dispute Resolution department, we are looking to recruit an experienced qualified lawyer to work across a varied caseload under the supervision of Ian Spencer, Director and Head of the Dispute Resolution department and other senior members in the team.

The department has a wide variety of disputes including, commercial litigation, commercial property litigation, property litigation, contentious trusts and probate and construction disputes. There would be the opportunity to specialise in one or more of these areas and grow that area.

This is a great opportunity to work on high profile, value and complexity disputes similar to a high-level city firm whilst maintaining the advantages of the healthy work/life balance of a smaller practice

Location

Ideally this is a full-time, permanent role based within the firm’s Kingsbridge office and the successful candidate would work predominantly from this office. However, there is flexibility to work remotely or from our other offices including Bristol or Plymouth for the right candidate.

Experience:

  • PQE: 5 years or equivalent experience (working as a case handling paralegal) in dispute resolution pre-qualification would be included.
  • Dispute Resolution: 5 years (required)

The ideal candidate will:

  • have significant knowledge and experience of litigation within the High Court, Tribunals or County Courts;
  • have experience of some or all of the following areas:
    • commercial landlord and tenant disputes
    • commercial litigation including JVA disputes, shareholder and partnership disputes
    • disputes concerning easements/restrictive covenants including injunctive proceedings, boundary disputes, adverse possession and property damage claims
    • Residential Possession claims
    • Contentious trusts and probate disputes
    • Construction disputes
