Overview
Recruitment Manager - Marketing & Digital. My client, a successful consumer brand based in Manchester, is looking for an experienced Ecommerce Manager to drive growth across their digital platforms.
The Ecommerce Manager will oversee all aspects of trading across 3 brand sites, delivering an excellent customer experience and creating a trading plan for key promotional periods. You will work closely with the Marketing team to plan and execute commercial campaigns across digital channels, forecast and collaborate with product and merchandising teams to ensure efficient stock planning, and own the execution to deliver digital growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and Optimise Websites: Take full ownership of brand websites, focusing on sales growth. Conduct regular analyses and reviews of the on-site customer journey to implement optimisations that maximise conversions.
- Develop Growth Strategies: Plan and manage the ecommerce growth strategy to optimise top-line sales and profitability.
- Forecasting: Produce financial year forecasts considering key campaigns, promotional periods, and new product launches. Work with product and merchandising teams to maintain stock levels on key lines.
- Promotional Planning: Collaborate with the B2B team to create promotional plans to meet ambitious sales targets. Review product sales and bestsellers to identify promotional opportunities.
- Reporting: Monitor daily sales and generate weekly/monthly reports for key stakeholders.
- New Product and Brand Campaign Planning: Work with marketing to feedback on campaign performance and optimise for digital channels.
- People: Manage 1 direct report.
What We’re Looking For
- Ideally 4+ years’ experience managing websites; Shopify experience is desirable but not essential.
- Experience in a similar Ecommerce Manager role, preferably within online retail/consumer products.
- Proven track record of delivering digital growth within the consumer brands sector.
- Understanding of website metrics and a data-driven approach to recommendations.
- Experience with ecommerce platforms and analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Power BI).
- Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Klaviyo) – B2C.
- Strong collaboration and relationship-building skills.
- Detail-oriented with an understanding of customer experience best practices.
- Good project management, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, results-oriented environment.
- Team management experience.
