Electronics Design Engineer (Graduate + 2 years of experience or maybe a recent relevant PhD) in Cambridge. Salary: £35,000 - £47,000 + Bens – Hybrid working – fantastic working environment – fun and supportive, excellent training and development opportunities.

A fantastic opportunity for an Electronic Design Engineer has arisen at an exciting Cambridge based technology development company who are developing next generation IoT wearable devices. You will join a supportive and dynamic R&D team as a Junior – mid level Electronics Engineer, working alongside experienced engineers developing electronics designs from the ground up, developing next generation IoT wearable products, production line test kit, and more!

This role would suit a graduate with a couple of years of experience looking to make their next move or maybe a recent PhD Graduate with relevant knowledge. If you are a graduate with at least a year in industry and your Degree / Masters dissertation involved developing an IoT / wearable devices / low cost device, please do apply!

We will of course be considering more experienced candidate who are happy with the salary banding on offer.

Responsibilities

  • Develop electronics designs from the ground up for next generation IoT wearable devices, production line test kit, and related products.
  • Collaborate within a supportive R&D team to deliver robust hardware solutions.
  • Contribute to design verification, debugging and problem solving across digital and analogue domains.

Requirements

  • Good Degree, Masters or PhD in Electronics, or equivalent
  • Relevant Industry experience working in electronic design / hardware design
  • Good knowledge of Microcontrollers (ARM ideally), system-on-chips and peripheral communication protocols like SPI, I2C
  • Good electronics design skills across digital and analogue electronics. Skilled in debugging and problem solving
  • Experience working on low power consumption and low-cost devices beneficial
  • Understanding of Power circuitry including battery management, switch-mode regulators beneficial
  • Knowledge of C beneficial
  • Experience in RF and antenna design would be a great bonus

Location: Cambridge (hybrid working).
