Electronic Design Engineer - Southampton

A new permanent opportunity is available for an Electronics Design Engineer to join a small R&D team based in Southampton, Hampshire.

You’ll play a key role in the development team, working on innovative new products at the Southampton site, with occasional travel required.

This position offers the opportunity to contribute to the design of advanced, high‑tech solutions used across a broad range of applications in the defence sector.

Key responsibilities of the Electronics Design Engineer:

• Take customer requirements and work with the wider team to establish how to develop new products
• Design custom electronic boards, verify and test
• Liaise with customers to assist with integration and problem resolution

Key skills/experience required for the Electronics Design Engineer:

• Proven experience in electronics design, analogue, digital and PCB design
• Board design, including schematic capture and PCB layout
• Experience designing with microprocessors/microcontrollers, memory devices, programmable logic, power supplies and wireless communications

This job is based in Southampton, Hampshire and is hybrid, offering flexible working.

The package:

• Competitive salary up to £60,000
• Flexible working, early finish on Fridays
