Employee Benefits Associate Consultant

Join Aon as an Employee Benefits Associate Consultant in our health & risk consulting team, working collaboratively and flexibly. This hybrid role offers flexibility to work virtually or from Leeds or Manchester offices.

What The Day Will Look Like

Primarily responsible for the retention and development of an established portfolio of clients, providing expert consulting advice to ensure services meet client needs.

To Achieve This, You Will

  • Act as a key advisor for a portfolio of clients, attending client meetings and providing advice to meet product and service needs
  • Develop and maintain long‑term relationships with clients to enhance service delivery, ensure renewal and retention of existing accounts, and identify new business opportunities
  • Identify revenue generation opportunities for existing clients and collaborate with wider Aon teams to expand services, enhancing overall relationships internally and externally
  • Stay up‑to‑date with current trends in the industry and monitor market developments
  • Undertake reviews of clients’ employee benefits requirements, document and analyse the results, and make recommendations for enhancement or provision of services by Aon
  • Seek to introduce employee benefits schemes that fit with clients’ overall reward strategies
  • Agree service levels or targets with external and internal suppliers and review service delivery
  • Work in accordance with the Aon UK Limited Risk Management Framework and Aon UK Limited policies
  • Take personal responsibility for ongoing continual personal development

Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success

  • Experience within the Health & Benefits sector is preferable – whether from a risk or health background
  • This role may suit someone currently in an administration or sales role looking to take the next step to a consultant position
  • Proven track record of effective client‑facing behaviours
  • Good interpersonal skills to deploy on both internal and external client teams
  • A commercial mind, supported by effective planning of pipeline opportunities
  • A self‑motivating desire to improve Aon IQ and drive further opportunities
