We have an exciting opportunity for an Employee Relations Lead to help shape and execute the Employee Relations strategy within Wellcome.

Where will I be working?

Reporting into the Head of People Operations, you will be an integral part of our People team playing an active role in helping develop and implement the plans enabling Wellcome to become the best place to work, in support of the delivery of the mission.

What will I be doing?

As the Employee Relations Lead, you will handle complex employee relations cases, build and nurture partnerships with our staff forum and union, project manage all organisational structural change processes, and lead a team of Employee Relations Managers to ensure the alignment of Employee Relations activities across the organisation.

Minimum requirements

  • Exceptional leadership and team management skills with a track record of leading ER teams successfully.
  • Proven experience in employee relations management within a complex organisational structure, including substantial experience in handling complex cases including management of cases going through to Employment Tribunal.
  • Extensive IR experience, managing internal staff forums and union relationships.
  • Experience or leading large scale structural change programmes and TUPE.
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law.
