Mission:
The role is part of Schneider Electric's UK & Ireland Zone, as a global technology group focused on helping customers make the most of their energy. The UK and Ireland territory, which stands at c4000 colleagues, has embarked upon an exciting period of growth and transformation. The scope of this role is to support our Senior HR Business Partners and HR Business Partners with Employee Relations activity, as well as being an active member of the broader HR community.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Managing Attendance: Position will be responsible for reviewing monthly absence report for the territory, connecting with managers to report on triggers and return to work process. Leading on all Occupational Health referrals. Leading Absence Reviews/Absence case management/Home visits where required including invitation letters and outcome letters. Conducting external benchmarking to review with internal absence data.
- Employee Relations queries: Responding to initial Employee Relations Policy queries that come via HR Services.
- Policy Reviews: Reminding policy owners that a review is required on an annual basis, ensuring all policies are up to date in support@Schneider, checking dashboards for expiry dates. Preparation of the monthly Policy Review presentation to support the ER Lead in delivering updates to the HRC.
- 3rd Party Suppliers: Managing the contracts and relationship with 3rd party suppliers for Occupational Health and Outplacement Support.
- Monthly reporting: Provide monthly reports on Employee Relations casework and provide recommendations on proactive support that can be given based on data provided.
- HR Project delivery: Leading on the planning, delivery and review of projects in the fields of continuous improvement across the UK and Ireland zone, in line with our People First Strategy e.g. Employee Experience projects around onboarding, offboarding
- ER Compliance Sessions Leading on the planning, delivery and review of ER Compliance Days for new people managers within the organisation
Skills and Qualifications:
- Ideally CIPD qualified, with active employment law knowledge
- Ideally 1+ years HR exposure with employee related case work
- Experience of working in a HR department in a variety of more junior roles across the HR model (e.g. HR Services, Talent, Reward)
- Ability to build strong relationships, offering the right balance of support and challenge to key stakeholders
- Strong Employee Relations background and experience of managing complex cases to a successful resolution
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders across the HR operating model and wider business
- Strong data management and analytical skills
- Ability to work with & manage highly sensitive and confidential data
