Overview

We are seeking an Engagement Officer to work in the CORNERSTONE Photonics Innovation Centre (C-PIC). The C-PIC mission is to create a pipeline of Silicon Photonics enabled companies, serving multiple industry sectors by 2030. C-PIC is a partner in several initiatives including the EU pilot line programme PIXEurope. This role focuses on building strong relationships with external partners, showcasing collaborative opportunities, and driving forward initiatives such as our membership scheme.

Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with external partners, showcase collaborative opportunities, and drive initiatives such as the membership scheme.
  • Deliver marketing and communications plans; manage digital platforms (web and social); work with external agencies and consultants.
  • Connect with the C-PIC community and contribute to building the network for Silicon Photonics fabrication services offered to researchers globally.
  • Support the team in promoting awareness of Silicon Photonics technologies and the benefits of future technologies within a university setting.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience delivering marketing and communications plans and managing digital platforms.
  • Ability to work with external agencies and consultants.
  • Willingness to learn about Silicon Photonics; no prior knowledge required.
  • Learns quickly in a university environment focused on people, collegiality, quality, internationalisation, and sustainability.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
