Role Overview

The Engineer/Senior Engineer oversees processing, planning, quality, operation, and maintenance of Waste Water supply and distribution systems to ensure safe, clean, and sustainable water services. Responsibilities include managing processes, site inspections, resource alignment, regulatory compliance, and optimizing water network efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage daily operations of wastewater and clean water networks, including connections, sampling, testing, inspections, monitoring, and maintenance, ensuring adherence to procedures and recommending improvements.
  2. Handle all maintenance, fault, and emergency logs to improve service outputs.
  3. Support and manage the CRMC clean water process, routine maintenance, and inspection programs; raise purchase orders; coordinate with stakeholders; and report on issues.
  4. Resolve operational queries from site developers, contractors, and service providers.
  5. Ensure proper documentation and quality of connections and commissioning documents.
  6. Maintain compliance with UK water quality standards and regulations, including Ofwat, Environment Agency, and DWI, with accurate record-keeping and reporting.
  7. Monitor water quality, implement treatment solutions, and ensure safety protocols are followed.
  8. Oversee infrastructure maintenance, repair, and replacement activities.
  9. Implement contingency plans for emergencies, supply disruptions, droughts, or contamination incidents.
  10. Manage asset documentation, records, and compliance with industry standards.
