Base location: Cheadle / Templecombe, UK. We can offer a hybrid approach to office and remote working, with an expectation of 3 days per week on site. Travel within Thales sites up to 15% of the time and occasional client meetings in the UK may be required.

We are looking for a hardworking individual with a can‑do attitude who wants to develop a career in a managerial role that offers the opportunity to drive a programme? Good communication skills and a desire to help develop others are essential.

What The Role Has To Offer

  • Opportunity to step up to an engineering management position
  • Good opportunity to learn in a different engineering domain
  • Stretch your thinking by working on a challenging & complex programme

About The Team / Rewards

You will be managing a multidisciplinary team, including teams within Hardware, Software, Systems, Safety, and Cyber Security. This team works together on the delivery of sonar equipment and is a close-knit, hardworking group that enjoys working together on site.

Our Opportunity

Your role as Engineering Delivery Manager will be to deliver on one of our sonar programmes, including being responsible for cost & schedule and fully fulfilling customer needs. Your responsibilities will include providing the principal engineering delivery leadership, direction, decision authority and support to the programme or bid. You will also direct and manage the Engineering team on project or bid to achieve company objectives in terms of programme schedule, financial and quality targets.
